Perforated Metal Products

We manufacture three types of perforated sheet stair treads:

  • Ship ladder,
  • Single type round perforated sheet tread,
  • Multi-hole perforated sheet tread
All of them are anti-slip and durable stair systems produced by drilling holes on sheet metal. Due to the raised holes, water, snow and dust accumulation is prevented on them, providing a safe stepping surface.

Ship ladders are generally preferred in narrow climbing areas, while perforated sheet treads can be used in all outdoor stairs and industrial projects.

As MiLiMETAL®, we manufacture ship ladder and perforated sheet treads in dimensions suitable for your project, with steel, aluminum or stainless material. Tread width and length dimensions can be adjusted according to the needs of your project, and height is determined according to the length and sheet. Special manufacturing can also be done in case of special request.

All stair treads are optionally provided with hot-dip galvanizing or electrostatic powder coating for maximum protection against corrosion.

Perforated Stair Tread Types

Ship Ladder: Anti-slip stair tread with round holes, typically 600 - 800mm wide, used in steep stairs. Preferred on ships, industrial facilities, roof access. Prevents water and dust accumulation, provides safe stepping surface in tight areas.
Round Hole Stair Tread: Anti-slip stair tread for platform stairs and standard stair systems. Can be produced in up to 1000mm width. Round hole pattern is the most common choice, easy to clean and provides water drainage.
Multi-Holed Stair Tread: Used in areas where slip resistance is critical. Large holes evacuate snow, dust and other elements, while smaller holes provide grip and traction.

Ship ladder is an anti-slip stair tread made of perforated sheet material, used in tight and steep stairs. Preferred on ships, industrial facilities, warehouses, roof access and space-limited areas. The perforated structure allows water and dust drainage, prevents slipping.

We can manufacture from steel sheet and stainless steel materials. For outdoor and humid environments, hot-dip galvanizing or stainless material (304, 316) is recommended. Material thickness ranges from 3mm to 5mm.

Ship ladder is typically produced in 600mm width, 200-250mm depth. Platform stair treads can be in the range of 800-1200mm width. We can also manufacture in project-specific dimensions. Hole pattern and open area ratio can be determined as standard or on demand.

Surface coating is recommended for outdoor, humid environments or chemical exposure. Hot-dip galvanizing is the most common choice. Uncoated steel can be used for indoor and dry environments. If stainless material is selected, coating is not required.
